Big Veggie Package is aimed at veg-loving couples or individuals, as well as larger families with more mouths to feed.
At Thompson Family Farm, we try and strike a balance between introducing new varieties, and providing staple crops. In every box, we aim for the following each week, with examples provided:
- 3 Staples (e.g. onions, carrots)
- 2-3 As much as possible (e.g. beetroot, tomatoes, capsicum, broccoli)
- 2 Sometimes (e.g. eggplant, pumpkin, radish, celery)
- 2-3 Leafy Green (e.g. salad mix, rocket, silverbeet, baby spinach)
- 1-2 Legumes (e.g. sugarsnap pea; bushbean; snow pea; broad bean)
- Experimental Variety (e.g. okra, purslane, shiso)
- Sweet Treat - when available (e.g. mandarins, strawberries, limes, rockmelon)
The above is meant as a guide, only. As the season progresses, we will be offering add-ons, such as flowers, herbs, preserves, potatoes, garlic and rainbow pastured eggs!
