Small Farmers Deserve a Fighting Chance

The world's largest 1% of farms control nearly 70% of all farmland and supply most of our food. Small farmers — the ones who know their soil, tend their crops by hand, and feed their communities — are being squeezed out. Farmlovers exists to change that. We built a marketplace where small farmers sell directly to you, keep more of what they earn, and grow on their own terms.

They Grow the Food. They Shouldn't Have to Guess Who to Trust.

A vegetable farmer finishes harvest and needs to get produce to market by morning. She has three offers from three logistics providers — and no way to tell which one will actually show up, pay fairly, or handle her goods with care. She picks one, hopes for the best, and absorbs the loss when it goes wrong.

This is the daily reality for millions of small farmers. Farmlovers changes the equation by making track records visible. On our platform, every farmer, buyer, and service provider builds a reputation through verified reviews from real transactions. Reliable partners attract more business. Unreliable ones cannot hide behind a handshake.

A Marketplace Where Everyone Meets in the Open

Farmlovers works like this: a farmer lists her tomatoes. You find them, order them, and they come to you — fresh, local, and fairly priced. If she needs a driver to deliver them, she finds one on the same platform, picks the one with the strongest track record, and books them directly.

No one at Farmlovers sits in the middle taking a cut from every handshake. We built the infrastructure — the marketplace, the profiles, the review system — and then we got out of the way. Farmers set their prices. Buyers choose their farmers. Service providers earn their business. Every transaction happens between real people who can see exactly who they are dealing with.

What We Stand For

We put money back in farmers' pockets.

Every feature we build is measured against one question: does this help a small farmer earn more or waste less? If the answer is no, we build something else.

Trust is earned, never bought.

Sellers can pay to be seen first — that is how we keep the platform running. But every review and rating comes from a real transaction. You can buy attention. You cannot buy a reputation.

We reward everyone who adds real value.

Drivers, packagers, cold storage operators — if you make the food chain work better, you belong here and you deserve to be paid fairly. We are not against middlemen. We are against middlemen who take more than they give.

We design for real people.

Our platform is built to be usable by a farmer checking orders on a phone between rows, a buyer with limited vision using a screen reader, and a first-time seller who has never listed a product online. If it is not accessible, it is not finished.

Why I Started This

— Silvia Pavic Jovic, Founder

Silvia Pavic Jovic as a child in the Croatian countryside

I spent lots of time with my father's family in the Croatian countryside — helping out in the fields, watching the work up close. What I saw stayed with me: people working harder than almost anyone I knew, for a fraction of what others earned, with almost no time off and no safety net. One bad season — a flood, a drought, a disease — could wipe out everything.

Silvia Pavic Jovic, founder of Farmlovers

Later, I became an IT expert spending years developing large web platforms. When the pandemic changed how people thought about food — cooking at home, buying from local producers, caring about origins — the pieces came together. Farmlovers exists because I believe the people who grow our food deserve a fairer deal, and I have the skills to help build one.

Find Your Place at the Table

Farmlovers is only as strong as the people who show up. Whether you buy your weekly vegetables from a farmer ten kilometres away, grow food and need a fair place to sell it, or run a delivery service that keeps the whole chain moving — there is room for you here. We are building this together, one honest transaction at a time.

Browse what is growing near you. Register your farm or service. Either way, you are in.
