Full-Stack Developer (PHP/JS)

Be Our First Tech Hire at Farmlovers!

What You’ll Do

• Develop and improve our core PHP/MySQL modules
• Create fast, responsive interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Work with third-party APIs (e.g. ChatGPT, WhatsApp, Stripe, etc.)
• Collaborate with the founder to shape technical architecture and roadmap
• Build features that directly help farmers, buyers, and communities
• Contribute to smart, scalable, and lean code for a multi-language, multi-country platform

 What We’re Looking For

• Advanced skills in PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript
• Ability to build components from scratch and optimize performance
• Experience with GitHub (clean commits, good structure)
• Strong problem-solving mindset – you can propose better solutions, not just follow specs
• Solid grasp of APIs and how to stitch different systems together
• Comfortable working independently and remotely

 Bonus Points

• Experience building a web app or large feature solo
• Worked with mobile apps or hybrid frameworks (e.g., Flutter, React Native)
• Strong online reputation (GitHub, Stack Overflow, portfolio, or blog)
• Familiar with legacy PHP (5.6) as well as modern PHP
