Hi everyone, why are farmers markets in europe so expensive?? At some of them the fruits is the same as in supermarket - eg I doubt there are bananas growing in Europe. Why should I prefer them over supermarket? ANy thoughts...?

I'm from Germany and have the same dilemma as you Amina. What we usually do is buy things that are in season, because they are really much better quality then in supermarket. E.g. now we buy apples, pears, soup vegetables, etc. They are also not more expensive in the markets, and the quality is top.
